By 2024, we have entered a though and challenging turning point in Ukraine’s two-year resistance to Russia’s bloodthirsty occupation. In the first phase of the war to completely occupy Ukraine, which the Russian oligarchy, under the control of the security bureaucracy, namely siloviki under V. Putin’s management, started by taking advantage of the disorganization of Europe, which is experiencing leadership frailties, and the weakness of the USA, which is having difficulty catching up in all directions, in response to the strong resistance of Ukrainians who love their homeland to death, Western countries in someway or other supported Ukraine, while, if we leave out China, large and small peripheral countries in the south and east, which were under-developed in the globalization process or could not find what they expected from it, abstained and tacitly approved Russia’s aggression and helped it gain legitimacy. When Russia encountered an unexpected resistance and opposition from both Ukraine and the Western democracies, it was first stunned, but then, albeit by lowering its target, it escaped forward, and with all kinds of inhumane means and propaganda turned to making Ukraine and the Western world that supported it give up. The long stalemate on the battlefield was exhausting for both sides, and everyone, learned or not, was searching for the answer to the question of who would give up first.

Putin’s Russia, known for its criminal record in many similar cases in the past, is launching a new wave of mobilization to use its miserable recruits as cannon fodder (пушечное мясо) in the war after the Crocus City disaster, which resembles a false flag operation, if not is strongly suspected to have been manipulated. North Korea and Iran continue to assist Russia’s war effort unabated. Russia, which has no significant industry, with its economy based on exploiting nature, under increasing sanctions with each passing day, cannot be as successful in modern hybrid warfare or conventional warfare as it is in propaganda warfare. In order to close the gap, its only option is to divide his opponent’s front by sowing discord and demoralizing them, and to force Ukraine into an unfavorable peace by increasing the dose of brutality. Unfortunately, the biggest trump card of Ukraine, which did not have as many material resources as Russia’s and valued human life more, was its indomitable will for independence and its optimistic belief that Western democracies would not allow the world to evolve into an authoritarian hegemony that does not recognize rights and law.

Attempting to impose the rights that he deems undesirable on the indigenous people in his own country, on those in someone else’s country, seeing it as his right to decide which alliance his neighbors will be in (raiding and beating his divorced wife’s house because she found a lover), interfering in the internal affairs of distant countries through cyber-destruction methods, and by seducing corrupt politicians offering extraordinary financial opportunities, Russian normals, such as eliminating opposition voices from the press, academia, business world, and political class by murdering them, do not promise a desirable future for humanity. However, the main duty of those like the United Nations spokesperson, who tire their mouths to condemn and prevent those who roll up their sleeves to stop such a monster, should be to use their power on those who rain bombs on innocent countries and people. We should not only recommend those who are tired, fed up, or hesitant to think about this twice, but also distinguish between right and wrong and defend what is right with all our might.
