“Hello” (“merhaba”) is the customary greeting exchanged between individuals upon meeting each other in Turkey. By this, we mean that neither party will be harmed. This website, with a specific emphasis on European news, is actually an effort to say “hello” to others. The philosophical embodiment of this “hello” is the Gadamerian hermeneutic methodology that I will use in my news and interviews. I will enter into a dialogical relationship by focusing on news from Europe with a Gadamerian hermeneutic methodology. I think that in this way we can fight against the “blind prejudices” that envelope and desert us. Put simply, I founded it with the intention of combating the environment of disinformation and propaganda that otherizes individuals and societies through the news and interviews, while also exposing the concrete consequences of the “high politics” of states on the everyday lives of citizens.
This site also owes a great deal to the fruitful brainstorming sessions I had with Seren, my wife. Selin Ezer, who is the sister of my wife, gave the technical support that was necessary for this site to be created. Allow me to express my gratitude to them once more at this occasion.
